SALAR DO UYUNI - DEPARTING FROM UYUNI

3 days / 2 nights NO RETURN

The largest salt desert in the world, with more than 10,000 km², the Salar do Uyuni is one of the main tourist destinations in Bolivia.
The Salar also has one of the largest lithium reserves in the world.
The singular beauty of this white expanse attracts thousands of people every year seeking adventure and peace in one of the most inhospitable places on the planet.
The expedition takes place over 3 or 4 days and passes through several colorful lagoons, canyons, rock formations, as well as unique flora and fauna.

We will visit Laguna Colorada, where we will be able to see a large number of flamingos. We will also visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers, Termas de Polques, Dali Desert, Green and White Lagoons, and the Licancabur Volcano viewpoint. We will complete the procedures at the Chilean border, and arrive in San Pedro de Atacama around 1:00 pm.

* Hot shower available (costs 10 Bolivianos, paid at each accommodation - in the private accommodation option, a hot shower is included at no cost.

Recommendations:
Bring clothes for the cold (hat, blanket, gloves) and for warmth. Swimwear and towel. Comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. During winter it is possible to rent a sleeping bag directly at the accommodation.

Don't forget to take:
1 bottle of 6 liters of water, toilet paper, soap, towel, proof of entry into Chile - PDI paper.

Temperature:Hot during the day, cold at night (winter with negative temperatures).

Itinerary

Departure from the city of Uyuni in the morning, from your accommodation. We will visit the train cemetery, the village of Colchani (crafts), and finally we will enter the Salar de Uyuni, where we will visit the Salt Museum, Dakar Monument, Praça das Bandeiras, Cactus Island. We will watch the sunset over the salt flat, and head to our first night's accommodation, at Hostal de Sal.

We will visit the mining town of San Cristobal, the Cañapa, Hedionda, Charkota and Honda lagoons. We will pass through the Siloli Desert and visit the Stone Tree. Finally, we will arrive at our second night's accommodation, close to Laguna Colorada.

Not included: Entrance fees to parks, personal expenses. Recommended to take280 Bolivian pesos for all expenses.
